[Part 2] 066. Hangang and Sinsa with Fadul

I was really stressed over my Corporate Finance quiz today which comprised 5% of my final grade. I planned and intended to study but my Blackberry distracted me all night. It was the only means for me to contact Fadul (other than FB) but it wouldn't wake up and nearly drove me nuts; it drove me into a state of panic when I thought it would never wake up and I would lose all my information in it. I posted a status update on FB and was hit with so many comments with friends trying to convert me to be an iPhone user. I left it charging overnight and when I woke up, it still refused to turn on so I googled "Blackberry won't turn on" and found a solution which worked! If you ever face such a situation, just leave the charger plugged into your Blackberry, remove the battery for a few seconds before inserting it back into the phone and switching on the phone.

After school - after my horrid quiz for which I had so much time for - I met Fadul, from Brunei, at Yeouinaru Station. We were supposed to take the Hangang Cruise because his friend wanted to take it BUT unfortunately, his friend had a last minute appointment and couldn't make it. Since Fadul wasn't quite keen on taking the cruise, as I was too after hearing from Jeannie that it costs 15,000KRW for a 1 hr long cruise, we walked along the Hangang instead and found out more about each other. Initially, I was quite apprehensive about meeting him because it was the first time I was meeting a blog reader of mine and I had no idea how things would turn out. But things turned out really well! I find it amazing how we met for the first time but could talk as though we've known each other for quite some time! I've always wanted to go to Sinsa-dong 신사동 and since he had never been there before, we left Hangang and took a cab to Sinsa for 10,900KRW. Sinsa-dong's Garosugil street 가로수길 (tree-lined street) is really beautiful at night with pretty cafes and boutiques stocked with the latest Fall fashion wear. I need to go back there to shop, though I know that prices will be really steep. Afterall, it's in Gangnam! I need to check out the other cafes as well.
Initially, I wanted to bring Fadul to the Korean restaurant that Kihong oppa and Donghyun oppa brought me to last year but I couldn't find it :( Instead, we had dinner at School Food which was nice, both food- and ambience- wise. But as usual, I was a failure at estimating the amount of food to order and I ordered too much :( We met up at 7.40pm; by the time we reached Sinsa, it was nearly 9pm and we stayed there till nearly 11pm! All in all, it was a great evening with Fadul and I learnt much about Brunei. My first friend from Brunei :) Fadul, I hope you enjoyed your 3 days in Seoul!
You can walk to Garosugil from Exit 8 of Sinsa Station

That's a big "BUT". Haha~ Hi Clara, I'm Adie, Fadul friend that had the last minute appointment.
I really wanted to meet you but my friend had a last minute free time, i thought it's my
only chance to see her since we only had 3 days in Seoul so I made the decision to see her.
I did try to contact Fadul that time to join you guys but I couldn't contact him b'cos
his cell phone usage is over the limited. Maybe we could still meet, Singapore is much more
closer than Seoul. I still can go to Singapore when you finish your study in Korea. Haha~ And for
the record I still don't have a Singaporean on my list of friends.

Hey Adie!!! Oops, no offence intended with the big "BUT"! Just typed the way I would speak for some drama-like effect. haha.
No worries about not being able to meet! Maybe I'll go to Brunei one day to visit too :) I hope you had a great time in Seoul! I love this country so much!!!
