OMG. My daddy's so cute! He sent me an email asking me about my bank details so that he can telegraphic transfer money to me and at the same time, he typed this:
"BTW your picture for green water heater advert is put up at Dhoby Ghaut MRT stn from today for 3 weeks. Attached photo taken by ad agency today. There will be one lighted box ad also at Raffles Place Mrt concourse from 28 Oct for 7 weeks. Followed by bus ad on 5 buses from 29Oct to 28 jan 2011. Bus no. 61, 67, 851, 960 & 985."
I was really surprised because I didn't expect this! So here's my shot at fame for 3 weeks in a MRT Station and for 3 months on 5 buses. Maybe my dad should do a TV advertisement too and I can model for free :)
I nearly replied "Can I have an iPad too?" but I think everyone in my family will label me "spendthrift Chua" if I do so. Anyway, I think the next generation iPad will be better so I'll wait till it's out and I have enough money to buy it. By the way, this picture was taken in 2008 so it's a prettier/uglier version of me, depending how you perceive my current appearance.
Lunch before Korean class was at some pasta place near the International Studies School building. I had a seafood pasta for 7,900KRW which came with a free drink BUT I felt hungry less an an hour after eating because I gobbled up my food in 15 minutes before running for Korean class. What a life :(
After class, I met up with Hyunju unni who was having her graduation pictures taken. So pretty! Her hair and makeup was done at J Makeup in Sungshin Womens' University Street for 35,000KRW.
Jeannie and I went to Sungshin Womens' University Street today in search of a hair salon to do our hair. She did Volume Magic for 70,000KRW (about 3 hours) while I had treatment done for 40,000KRW (about 1-2 hrs). My hair stylist also trimmed my fringe and eyebrows. I don't really like my fringe because it's too straight. I think I'll just do my hair in Anam next time or go back to Edae! I kind of prefer my stylist in Hair Messe, Edae. We did our hair at a hair salon called Hanbi Hair 한비헤어 which Jaehyun's friend(s) recommended. It's on the opposite side of the road from CGV and on the 2nd level of a building beside Lotteria. This is my first time getting a treatment done in Korea. It's quite different from the way my treatment was done in Klearcut (Klearcuts) back in Singapore because this treatment involved some heating device. Of course, my hair is nice and smooth now but I'm not sure how long this will last. Should I straighten my hair and then perm it again before I return to Singapore? I can't decide :(

Post-dinner, we went to Star Beer for drinks and sat outdoors. I love the ambience there...we felt as though we were out of Anam. Nights like this are the best...spending time with my good friends in a nice place with good weather (though it got quite cold after awhile). Chicken rice this Sunday at Junho's place. Excited! We're going to Homeplus to buy a chicken before cooking at his place. Whee :)
P.S. I'm excited not because I miss Singapore food a lot. I'm excited because it'll be fun cooking together!
