Shopping on Gmarket these 2 months

You have absolutely no idea how much I've been shopping on Gmarket these past 2 months! Shopping on Gmarket while in Korea is so much better than doing so in Singapore because my items arrive really fast and I don't have to go through the hassle of staying home and waiting for delivery. My items are delivered to my hostel and left waiting for me on the table beside the lift. On average, I receive my items just 2 days after making payment. Amazing :) And I'll now share with you my favourite purchases so far!

Item #1. Item no.124137005 G-36 (2329) 35,600KRW in Camel

Item #2. Item no. 194303734 올리비아자켓 32,800KRW in Beige S
Initially, I was quite disappointed when I received this blazer because the colour was quite different from what I expected from the model photos and the blazer was too thin. But then I realised that thin is good because I can wear it in hot sunny Singapore and I grew to love this blazer a lot. Thank goodness I changed my mind and decided not to return it!

Item #3. Item no. 183220576 잇슈자켓 27,900KRW in Black S
I saw this blazer quite a number of times but didn't think that it was nice until I saw a girl in school wearing it and I fell in love with the contrasting beige flaps on the black blazer. So here it is :)

Item #4. Item no.177371253 5002# 물결쟈켓 9,900KRW in Black
A very cheap yet chic cardigan that I absolutely love! Very flattering :)

Item #5. Item no.195129268 박시후드 (A9FK-278) 29,800KRW in Red
My first red outerwear to brighten things up in the upcoming gloomy winter season :) It was too thick to wear last week but now that it'll be really cold this week, I can wear it more often!

Item #6. Item no. 183220576 엔틱 스터드가죽자켓 27,900KRW in Black S
This is, by far, the Gmarket purchase I've worn most frequently since I bought it! I've always wanted a rider jacket and my wish came true. I've been most satisfied with this :) I've also received quite a number of compliments when I wore this jacket and many were surprised to learn that it only cost 27,900KRW! It's not really thick either so I can wear it back in Singapore.

Item #7. Item no.162187489 타루 블라우스 20,900KRW in Pink
This is the first checkered blouse I have that's mine and not from my mum! I've wore it a couple of times on its own and on Sunday, I layered this blouse with another t-shirt from Gmarket.

Item #8. Item no.170093659 9,900KRW in Beige
I absolutely love this blouse because of its chiffon sleeves. I love all things chiffon. However, my only gripe with this blouse is that the buttons fall off really easily. On the first day that I wore it, a button near the bottom of the blouse fell out when I was in my room so I managed to find the button. The old man at the dry-cleaning shop near my place helped me sew back the button but unfortunately, the top button fell out on Saturday as I was walking from Sinsa to Rodeo Street so...I'm now missing a top button :(

Item #9. Item no. 178810155 13,800KRW in Wine
This blouse is actually quite similar to the one Song Hye Gyo recently wore to a function. In the past, I rarely bought any red or wine tops but lately, I've been turning to these 2 colours to spice up my wardrobe! A red/wine dress, this wine coloured top, another similar one, red cardigan etc.

Item #10. Item no. 193509655 30,300KRW in Black
I love how this skirt has an elastic band instead of a zipper so I can wear it easily!

Of course, as with shopping online, there are bound to be some "mistake" purchases given that I can't try the items beforehand and some didn't quite suit me after all. Back in Singapore, I never did any returns as it just didn't make sense to return any unsatisfactory items with the international shipping fee that I have to absorb. But here, I can return items easily just that I have to pay, on average, 5000KRW for the delivery cost. As such, I have to compare the cost of keeping an item which I don't like or can't fit versus the return cost and decide which is more worth it. When I returned an item for the first time, I was quite unsure of how to go about it. But practice makes perfect and I'm now familiar with the procedures :) Basically, if you don't like any item or you want to make an exchange for a different size or colour, you should go to My Gmarket> Cancel/Refund> Select the relevant order/item number> Under the REQUEST column, click on Return or Exchange depending on what you want. Once that has been done, fill up the return/exchange form if it comes with the item you ordered and a deliveryman will drop by within 1 or 2 days upon your return/exchange request on Gmarket to pick up the item. Of course, doing returns/exchanges for me is convenient because I'm currently living in a hostel and all I have to do is to pass my item to the lady at the counter by the doorway and tell her that I would like to return/exchange my item to Gmarket and she'll take care of the rest of it. Actually, I think she just leaves the parcel on the table top of her counter and the deliveryman will just pick it up from there. In comparison, if you are staying in an apartment or something, then you'll have to make sure that someone's home to pass the item to the deliveryman when he comes.

Have fun shopping on Gmarket!
