10/10/10 was, indeed, a good day spent with the people I love most here in Korea and with the purchase of something I've always wanted.
In fact, I studied the most today as well; from 9.30am till 4pm (with a 2hours lunch break in between)! Actually, I barely covered one set of lecture notes :( It was my first time in a 24hours reading room in school and Young Woong guided me through the seat reservation system. You have to reserve a seat for a selected time frame outside the reading room before you can use it. I first reserved my seat for 3 hours and subsequently extended it by another 4 hours.
I wanted to bring Young Woong and Sean to the Indian restaurant I went to on Thursday but it only opens from 5pm onwards on weekends :( Eventually, we found another Indian Nepalese restaurant and had our lunch there. The chicken briyani I had there wasn't as nice to the one I had on Thursday :( In fact, the colour of the rice was reddish! Lunch was an interesting affair as Sean shared with us some of his models and theories about women. I can't believe you did them! Hahahaha.
In the late afternoon, I went back to Lotte Hotel to return my XX item and bought a XXXXX item. That's how fickle-minded I am when shopping: I like something, I buy it but I leave the price tag on. And then I regret my (impulse) purchase within 1 or 2 days, change my mind and bring it back to the store for a refund. Sounds like my mum, just that in Singapore, we don't quite have a full cash refund system for most stores, unlike in Korea...Oh dear. What a trait to inherit :(
But anyway, I'm a happy girl now :) Got almost everything I wanted on my wishlist for this year! Being in Korea is the best gift I've ever received from my parents.
The evening was spent with Jeannie, Junho and Junghyun at Junho's place where we cooked chicken rice with the ready-mix and rice that Jeannie's mother brought from Singapore. None of us had ever cooked a chicken before and the pot was too small for us to completely submerge the chicken in the water so we had to flip it over after boiling it for some time. When it was time to cook the rice, we almost cooked it without washing it until Junghyun reminded us! And when we poured the chicken stock into the rice, Jeannie said that we shouldn't pour too much...but it was a wrong move :( Our rice was tooooo dry by the time it was cooked! But nevertheless, it was chicken rice and we were so satisfied after the meal :) A taste of Singapore!
We walked to GS25 to buy ice cream for dessert before slacking in Junho's place and deciding at the last minute, to catch a movie at the CGV near Sungshin Women's University Street at 10.30pm: Eat pray love. I almost fell asleep during the movie!
