I finally met Beatrice and Minqi at the gym! Alright, more like we arranged to meet there today.
8km today. I must be mad. 6km on Thursday, 6km yesterday, 8km today; a total of 20km from 3 consecutive days. My legs are dying and my arms seem bigger from weight-lifting. At least I've already lost 2kg so if I keep this up, maybe I'll lose another 2kg before I go home!
I had lunch with Yuhong: tuna kimbab and cheese rabokki which was soooo spicy that I didn't eat much :( I managed to study chapter 5 of my Korean textbook ahead of next week's classes before going to Myeongdong to check out F21 (wanted to return items but they were bought more than 7 days ago and I didn't have the receipts so my trip was a failure) and Lotte Hotel where I wandered from one boutique to another and back to the first again where I did some major damage to my wallet. The cute male SA who served me was much better than the dao-faced female one who served me on the basement floor...and we communicated mainly in Korean! I think my competency in the language has improved...a little! Because I couldn't make up my mind and spend a long time deliberating...I wasn't in time to meet Jeannie and her friends in Myeongdong so I went to Mapo Station to meet them instead, and was late in catching the fireworks which started at 7.30pm.
Guess what...I couldn't find Jeannie or Yuhong. It was soooooo crowded. People here people there people everywhere and sadly, I ended up watching the fireworks alone while wondering up and down the expressway in search of the both of them...and I found the best spot to watch the fireworks: between a guy's legs because he stood on the railing and I was able to have a good view between his legs.

| I had to put my camera into the air, above my head to take these shots. |
 |
| Where I walked and walked and walked on the expressway until a traffic policeman told me that I had to cross the railing because there was no more path for pedestrians -.- I couldn't cross or climb over the railing because I was wearing a dress... |

 |
| This was a good spot until some woman decided to climb over the railing and fill up this very gap from which I could see the fireworks. |
 |
| The next best place to watch the fireworks was between this guy's legs as he stood on the railing. |
I got quite fed up of the heat (from the crowd) and the lack of a good view and being alone so I left, just slightly less than 1 hour into the 2 hours display all ready to spend the rest of the night alone without Jeannie or Yuhong. And then, I received Mr. Hero's text. He was in the vicinity and was on his way back to Anam, just like me! So I met him at the nearest subway station and we came back to Anam together. By the time we reached Anam, it was around 9.15pm and most of the eateries were closed. That's the sad thing here...eateries close really early and at around 9pm+, the places that are open are mainly 술집 or alcohol houses/places. But luckily, we managed to find a Japanese eatery which was still open and I could have my dinner. Young Woong had already eaten but he accompanied me while I ate. So nice of him! Study time tomorrow :)
