Today was a beautiful day :)

Kawita and I set off for Haeundae in the late morning and we meant to have our lunch at Dalmaji but by the time we reached Haeundae, it was around 12pm+ and we were hungry AND something caught our eyes…so we made an impromptu decision to have a buffet lunch in Novotel Hotel for 44,000원 each! The food was pretty good and we had a nice view of the sea too :)

After a sumptuous lunch, we walked off the calories by walking all the way to Dalmaji Hill and back again. To get to Dalmaji, you can take a bus from Haeundae Station or just simply, walk there. It’s on the extreme left end of Haeundae Beach. My intention was to check out the cafes there because I heard that Dalmaji is Busan’s version of Seoul’s Samcheongdong. I didn’t know that the cherry blossoms are in full bloom there too! And so, the place was pretty crowded and there was some traffic congestion too since there’s only 1 lane for each direction. Thank goodness we didn’t take a cab there; if not, we would have been caught up in the bad traffic!

We walked and walked and walked until we came to the area where there were more mainstream cafes like Caffe Bene, and others. I found Beansbins Coffee and I really missed the waffles there so we went in for a green tea waffle for 13,000원. I know, we’d just had a buffet lunch and then, a huge plate of waffle for 2 girls. We don’t do this often so it’s fine :)

We walked on for a little more after our tea break before making our way back since it was getting a little late and we didn’t know how far more we should go. We were so full that we didn’t even have our dinner in the end!
So yes, I’ve finally been to Dalmaji Hill, which was on my TO VISIT list for Busan :) Not sure if I’d go back to Dalmaji again since it’s quite far away and I prefer Gwangan where the cafes are nearer to the beach/sea.
