It's 1 December; 1 month and 7 days to my departure.
To those who will be coming to Korea soon for holiday for 7/8 days or something, having another 37 days here in Korea is a lot. But to me, it means that I have very little time left here. On 1 August, I went to Changi Airport to catch my flight to Korea, knowing that I would have a fantastic 5 months here. And now, everything's coming to an end. There's a time for everything and...a time to say goodbye. Most of my exchange friends will be leaving this month. There are 2 ways I can handle this: go into melancholy mood, mourn and brood about leaving and not wanting to let go OR be happy and make the best out of every single day and try to push the horrible thought of my imminent departure to the back of my head. I hope I can do the latter, even if it means going into denial mode that I'm leaving soon. So many things have happened here, so many beautiful memories, and people I cannot leave behind. Korea has become my 2nd home. Letting go is hard and I don't know if I can. In the past, after I got back to Singapore from fantastic holidays abroad, the 1st few weeks were always hard as I would reminisces my days spent on holiday and try to relive every single day of the trip: this time last week, I was doing this and this and this, etc. But reliving about 150+ days would be crazy, isn't it? Haha. Of course, I have this blog and I'm even considering compiling my entries into a book for myself so that I can refer to easily. Perhaps a way to help myself is to see my departure from Korea as not an end but a temporary break from Korea. If Tiger Airways opens up flights to Korea, that would be fantastic! My current option is to take a budget airline to KL and then AirAsia to Korea. SQ is too expensive :( My flight here cost nearly $1,300!
There's no time to feel sad, Clara.
I could actually do my Corp Fin quiz today! I feel so proud of myself :) After class, Jeannie, Yuhong and I had 감자탕 potato soup (don't know why it's called potato soup when there aren't much potatoes and people love it for the meat) at 광주식당 Gwangju eatery near the main gate. 20,000KRW for the soup and 1,000KRW per bowl of rice we ordered.
I had my Strategic group meeting from 7-10pm today before meeting YW and talking in school till 11pm. At 12am, I went to the noraebang with Jeannie and we were later joined by Raus and Shim, some Korean guy they picked up from a bar some time back. We paid 15,000KRW for 1 hour but got 2.5hours of service and only left the place at 3.30am. I was so tired and I nearly lost my voice! But it was fun :) Perhaps I should take videos of us singing next time!

Hi Clara, another flight option you have is Cathay Pacific! Keep a look out for their periodical promotions with various credit cards. Just in June this year, I flew via HK on CX to Seoul and it only costed me $690SGD (taxes included!) hehe :p
Enjoy your remaining stay babe! <3
Hello Ya Ting, thanks for the info! But that will require a stopover right? There's a promotion for AirAsia now...185,000KRW round trip from KL to Seoul and back.
No stopover required, merely a transit from HK! I just checked out the Airasia promo! So tempting. But my bf's is in his honors year so he's mad busy with his schwork, otherwise I'll drag him to Korea this holidays haha.
WOW!!
Very Nice Blog. Thanks for sharing
@ Ya Ting: Really?! Alright, will consider them next year/the year after :)
