OMG. It's getting colder day by day with the minimum temperature below 0℃ for the next few days and it snowed today, intermittently though :( I was like, "Look, it's snowing!" and moments later, it would stop and then start again. Jeannie wanted to go to the Hangang when it snows so we made plans to go there in the evening after our Corp Fin class but unfortunately, it stopped snowing by then.
Anyway, I accomplished a lot this morning in the span of 4 hours: I actually made it to the gym for a good workout, went to Myeongdong and Miamsamgori while Jeannie was still sleeping. The sales assistant at Lotte Department Store in Lotte Hotel remembered me from yesterday. I was the foreigner who's an exchange student at Korea University (that's the problem when I use my Hana Bank ATM card for purchases...it's my student ID cum ATM card so it has my photo on it). Unfortunately, she didn't have anymore stock for my gloves in black and a trip to Kosney to look for my missing glove was futile so I left Myeongdong quite dejected. Then, I remembered that MIamsamgori was on the same line as Myeongdong so I went there instead and true enough, the Lotte Department Store stock the exact same pair of gloves that I lost, in the same colour as well. Just that it was 10,000KRW more expensive. I told the SA that and immediately, she said she would match Myeongdong's Lotte Department Store's price for me :) But after much consideration, I though it was dumb to get the same pair of gloves again, especially when they weren't warm enough so I got another more expensive but warmer pair for 60,000KRW. Before I left the cashier, she told me not to lose it again. Of course I won't! Once bitten, twice shy. I felt so sad about my loss!
From Miamsamgori, I took Bus no. 144 back to Korea University, which was just 5-10 minutes away and while I was walking back towards Anam, it started snowing! Bernice came over from Singapore for a short holiday so Jeannie and I met her for lunch. We had 찜닭 jjimdak (a spicy steamed chicken dish with vermicelli) and it was there that I discovered that my tolerance for spicy food has improved greatly! It was nice talking to Bernice over lunch...it made us feel as though we were back in Singapore, in NUS! She was my closest friend in LAK3201 after Jeannie abandoned me and dropped Korean class. I was the one who came up with Bernice's nickname in Korean class...Jihoo sunbae 지후선배 (my prince charming from the Korean drama "Boys Over Flower") because of her striking resemblance to him with her brown hair and crop cut. After lunch, we headed to school to show Bernice our campus and along the way, we met Zechy.

I got back my Corp Fin quiz today and was the last one to get mine back. I think Prof Hwang did that on purpose but I didn't dare to look at his face after having flunk my previous 2 quizzes. 100 marks! I know it's nothing to brag about for a tiny little quiz that's only worth a few percent BUT it's my first full marks quiz in KU. Considering how I actually failed mid-terms and then a quiz after that, I vowed to get full marks for my last quiz. After taking the quiz, I didn't expect to get full marks but knew that I almost gave my best. Right, Yuhong? hahahahaha. Alright, insider story and I won't divulge anything else about what we do during quizzes.
I had dinner at home and before going back, Jeannie and I did our last round of grocery shopping in Korea.
