[Part 1] 193. 1박2일 경주 Gyeongju MT and Ulsan

This morning, I was up the earliest at 6am. I thought I wouldn’t be the first one but I was. So I was ready before all my friends and even managed to take a nap for 5 minutes while waiting for them to get ready.

The buffet breakfast was great because of my favourite…scrambled eggs which were really delicious! I would have gone for more servings if not for my indigestion from last night :(

At 9am, we set off for Bulguksa. I didn’t expect to be back so soon, like within 2 months. I was expecting to come back in autumn.
There was a guide assigned to us but we couldn’t hear her clearly :(
The 2 of them can pass off as elementary school kids
So crowded! The last time I visited the temple, it was quite empty.
Everyone wants to take photos with the foreign-looking ones
Next stop was Yangdong Village which we actually visited last year so I’m not sure why we came back here again. Nevertheless, the weather today was better than the late summer weather when we came last year and we were given more time to explore the village.
The boys spent their time playing frisbee instead
And guess what, we went back to the same restaurant for lunch too.

After lunch, the kind ajusshi kindly let Kawita and I alight at the bus terminal before returning to Busan!
From Gyeongju’s bus terminal, we took a bus to Ulsan Bus Terminal for 4,900원 and the journey was slightly over an hour.

As we were early, we went to Angel-in-us Coffee for drinks while waiting for EH to arrive and then SOMETHING happened and we couldn’t meet at all. I was so shocked that I actually froze for awhile. 하필이면… Really, of all days, of all times, why did it have to happen?!?! EH’s fine and wasn’t injured, except for a swollen ankle.
Since we couldn’t meet, Kawita and I decided to come back to Busan. We should have just followed the school bus back :( The bus back cost us 4,000원.
Dinner was great though and the best part of it was dessert- gelato! It was my first time eating at an eatery on the 2nd level of the bus terminal and I must say that there are nice eateries there.
It was a wasted trip to Ulsan today (yet another) but at least I spent time with Kawita!
