[Part 1] 123. Last session of retail therapy for the year!

Spent the whole day indoors and trying to finish up Chapter 3 of my Yonsei textbook before feeling a headache developing at around 3pm+ so I started dressing up and headed off to Centum City.
Oh yes, and I kept looking out of the window every now and then too so here are the views for today.

At first, I was so guai. All I bought was a 9,000원 pink scarf from H&M, which was down from 19,000원. I’ve always wanted a pink scarf and one that was a neck warmer style rather than the scarf style because I erm…have a tendency to drop my scarf when it’s too long. Even though I felt proud that I scored such a good bargain and that I hadn’t spent much money, I felt that my head was still hurting slightly and that something was amiss…like I haven’t really accomplished anything today. See, the last time I spent too much at Centum City, I had a headache. And again, I found myself in a similar situation. See what headaches do to me…it makes me lose my rationality.

I went back to the beauty department and then…yeah, I spent so much money there. But it was all because of the event that the Shinsegae Cosmetic Club was holding. I always end up buying more whenever there are events like this: spend at least 400,000원 on beauty products and get at least a 20,000원 gift voucher and a free Spaland voucher. So I found myself topping up my purchases just to get the freebies. I went to Centum City with the aim of using the 20,000원 gift vouchers that my roommate gave me for Christmas (she knows me so well, I love gift vouchers from department stores), and I walked away with another 20,000원 gift vouchers. Oh yes, the gift vouchers from Shinsegae can be used for E-mart too :) I really wanted the Spaland voucher too because I intend to go there soon. So thanks to the event, I also finally joined the Shinsegae membership club which I should have done so a long time ago, and before I started buying stuff today. I could have accumulated so many points!!!!! So yes, by the time I left Centum City, I felt proud of myself because of my buys for the day but quite sore over the amount of money I spent. It’s almost the end of 2012. It’ll be the last few times to pamper myself as I promise to turn over a new leaf in 2013 and reduce my expenditure. Ok, no one’s going to believe me. I don’t really believe myself anyway. But I’ll TRY!
Oh yes, I collected a stack of discount vouchers for Sinsegae from the Global Gathering event back in October and used one of them for a 5% discount for my Sulwhasoo products. I actually forgot about the existence of the vouchers in my bag at first and when I finally remembered them, the kind SA voided my first transaction and gave me the discount. Got lots of samples from her too :)

2 for 10,000원 and I ended up with 2 packs when I only wanted 1 pack and could only finish one pack. Sigh

48,000원 for this primer and I think prices are more expensive here than in SG. But I got some freebies and since I had the gift vouchers, I thought I might as well buy this. And this hydrating primer will be great for Korea’s winter. 

Didn’t know that Chanel beauty has a membership system…why didn’t the SA enter me into the club when I bought an eyeliner from the same beauty counter last time???
