[Part 1] 115. It’s Friday!

After class today, it was off to Beomil for me to get my box wrapped with C’s Christmas packaging. Finally! It took them forever to have the Christmas packaging when most other stores in the world already had it. Saw the black rock/amethyst ring from the Fall-Winter 2012/13 collection again and it’s soooooooo pretty! Absolutely stunning in real life and it’s the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen but it costs like US$1,600+? :’(

Came back to my room to do my homework before going for a full dress rehearsal for my class play. Us beggar kids got white hanboks which made us look like ghosts…luckily I’ll get to wear a prettier hanbok at the end! I was so envious of Kawita’s pretty hanbok haha.

What 김 선생님 said during class today is right. Our time in Busan will be one of our best during our time here on this scholarship. Just studying Korean (yes it’s a lot of work but it cannot compare to life in the business school) and having most afternoons free and most importantly, living in Busan. Busan’s not as fast-paced as Seoul and even though it doesn’t have as many beautiful cafes or shopping places as in Seoul, it’s a very scenic place. I feel more at home here than in Seoul now.  But I guess that’s because I don’t have a place to stay in Seoul anymore so it no longer feels like home. And while I complain about how inconvenient staying on campus is, I like the environment here. I can see the stars at night, the air’s fresh and it’s quiet (other than the ongoing construction work which starts at 7am every morning, waking us up), unlike the environment I lived in Anam where I could hear people shouting and talking loudly in their drunken stupor late at night when I’m trying to sleep.
