with the English map and guide before I left it behind somewhere in Ssamziegil :(
We were supposed to meet Morten, my Norwegian friend who went to NUS for exchange in Spring 2009 at 11am Anguk Station Exit 4 but we were late by nearly 10 minutes :( Sorry Morten!
trying to figure out how to get to Insadong
Morten, Joanna, Aunty Jenny (Mel's mum) and Mel :)

In Moon Orgel Music Box shop with pretty music boxes that double up as paperweights or even jewelry boxes for some designs. You can even choose the box design and the song!

Demonstrating how to make the Dragon Beard sweet along Insadong
Morten's blond hair is so useful! The guy let him try one piece which he shared with Jo.
Lunch time
What Morten and Joanna want to eat :(
In Insadong, the names of Missha, Etude House and Starbucks are in Korean.
We wanted to try the patbingsu we had last year but there were no seats inside :(
It's amazing taking the subway...there is a yellow dividing line to section out which side to keep to if you're not in a hurry. Changing lines is a hassle as you have to walk really far and it can be confusing.
Banana milk for Joanna and Melissa but not for me because I can never drink milk on its own :(
In Itaewon on a hot sunny afternoon.
Poor Morten kept having to wait while we shopped.
Pretty Melissa :)
Back to Hongdae. I missed you!
In Baskin Robbins for ice cream. A photo to show you my curls on the 2nd day. It's not too clear though. We met Morten's Korean friend, Ziggy, who had gone to Norway for a year-long exchange. Ziggy also invited his friend, Jaeyoung, along for dinner. Thank you for bringing us around!!!
Really good ice cream fondue for 12,000KRW.
Jaeyoung unni with Joanna and Aunty Jenny
Crazy wires, as Ziggy called them, if I remember correctly!
I missed you!
Great dinner place which Jaeyoung unni found for us!
Ewwwww...small little snail found on a leaf! Please check your leaf before eating.
Drinking soju. The sound you make after drinking it should come naturally, not intentionally. Right, Morten? haha :)
Pretty cafes in the area

Taking the subway to City Hall station

Now I finally know where the start of the Cheonggyecheon Stream is!
The area was really crowded! Jaeyoung unni said that it was too hot that day so most Koreans went there to cool down and play in the water (for the kids).
The digital garden
Caspers
It's so cool, having full length glass windows in cafes that overlook the street. Singapore should have one of these in Orchard road or something!
At O'Sulloc Tea in Myeongdong for drinks and dessert before we headed back to the hotel.
My Green Tea Fredo drink with green tea ice cream.
