[Part 1] 021. 22 August 2010 Sunday

So this is the day...the day we left Youngjin's family and moved to Co-m Livingtel in Seoul to start our exchange life with Korea University :( I spent the morning packing my luggage and clearing up my backlog of entries and photos.
Lunch
We started cleaning up at 3pm and by 4pm, we were all set to leave their lovely apartment.
Taehun got mad with me after I tried taking photos of him (upon Jeannie's request) :(
Youngjin's mother drove us to Seoul and within 20 minutes, we were in the Hongdae vicinity. After another 20-30 minutes, we reached Co-m Livingtel and were surprised that the car was able to move up the very steep slope with Jeannie's 3 luggages (combined weight of 57kg?) and my luggage (23-27kg?).
We checked into our rooms: Jeannie's in 214 and I'm in 314, one floor directly above her, before walking to Korea University to do some sightseeing, just like how I brought Youngjin, his mother and Taehun to NUS in May when they were still in Singapore. Koreans like to go to universities for sightseeing.
Youngjin decided to be a storyteller to entertain me when we were touring the school. He said he had many past lives and the most memorable name he created for himself was "Chicken". I asked if he was called "Kim Chicken" then. He said he was "Kimchi-ken" -_-
"Taehun, where's your mother?"
Youngjin's mother said it's easier to walk up the steep hill if we were to walk backwards.
Just before 7pm, we got back to the hostel and it was time to bid farewell to them :( I'll miss them all...they've been most kind to us and I think I'm really lucky to be able to meet them. I used to bemoan the fact that I was always unlucky but somehow, Lady Luck strikes when you least expect it. We'll definitely visit them often! And it was a teary farewell as well :(
Zechy came over to pass me my bedsheets, pillow case and blanket before we met Yuhong and the 4 of us went for dinner in Anam.
After dinner, each of us bought 10 rolls of toilet paper (5,000KRW) from a mart nearby, went to Olive Young and dropped by a cafe opposite our hostel where Jeannie got her dinner. We left for Home Plus at about 10pm and shopped like hell. Jeannie was persuaded into going with us and she was so bored the entire time. Poor Jeannie!
We got back at 11pm and I spent the next few hours cleaning my room and unpacking. I still need to get some trays to organize my items properly. Everything's in a mess! I ended up sleeping really late and I think my default sleeping time here in Korea is now between 2-3am :( I've got really bad eye bags now!
The one thing I don't like about my room is that the TV and the console set occupy half of my table :( I'm used to a long table back at home and there's just no space here. There's no wi-fi connection and I need to use a cable to access the internet so I can't use my laptop on my bed either :(

my brilliant way of hanging my bags
I know this puny wardrobe will be filled up in no time.
