After having lunch with EH at Hwarang where I walked to in my capri and slippers, to which one of the cafeteria ajummas exclaimed at, I bumped into Jenna and Valentina who were heading to Juno Hair in Seomyeon and asked me to join them. And I did! So impromptu lol. I’ve always wanted to try Juno because I’ve heard quite a bit about it and it’s always better to go with friends :)
Basic treatment (called clinic) starts from 80,000원 and there are 3 different prices. I went for the 98,000원 one which is considered the middle level. Had my fringe permed for 20,000원 and a hair cut for 20,000원 too. I think generally, prices at Juno Hair Seomyeon are quite reasonable BUT not for perming or getting magic done (costs at least 100,000원 when you can get them done for much less elsewhere). I think this will be the last time I’ll be getting a treatment done for my hair…I’ve spent more on treatments than the actual cost for my perm and hair dye and the worse thing is that I don’t see that much of a visible change in my hair texture :( Not going to waste my money anymore! Unless the treatment costs 20,000원 or less. I’d rather spend my money on good hair masks or other products. Also, I will not have my fringe permed anymore…especially not a wave perm when my fringe is long. There isn’t….much of a visible change either -.- It’s time to start being thrifty! I spent way toooo much last year :( I’m thinking of having a hairstyle change this year and I might go back to Juno to get it done. Just no more treatment or fringe perm for me!

We went to a pretty cafe near the hair salon and it was nice, other than the fact that people are allowed to smoke on the 2nd floor when it’s an enclosed space?!

Oh yeah, we dropped by Espoir along the way because I wanted to buy a makeup base that has pretty good reviews and discovered that I have 80,000+원 worth of points to redeem! So my base was FREE! Feel so happy :) Espoir’s under the Amore Pacific group. The base cost 23,000원 but there’s a 30% discount off from 18 Jan-31 Jan.
I had a great time with Valentina. It was my first time having a meal with her alone. I’m so glad that we’re going to Yonsei together... just that I made a mistake…she’s not doing the MBA with me! A German girl and American guy will be but they are in other universities doing their language study program now. Oops, what a mistake!
I’ve decided to pay for my room during the period that I’ll be in Singapore because it’s just too much of a hassle to pack my things into boxes only to collect them on the 18th, move them into a temporary room and then move them into my new room for the next semester on the 23rd. I don’t care what the ladies at the Admin office think of me anymore. When I last asked them, they told me to save the money or spend it on EH instead because they think it’s a waste of money when I can store my stuff in the storage room for free. But when I think of my opportunity cost and the trouble to pack this and that, I’d rather just pay to leave my stuff in my room. Thank goodness my mum thinks like me too so I didn’t get scolded for deciding on this arrangement. I’m not the only one who decided to pay for the room too! Will have to start unpacking what I’ve already packed tomorrow lol.
