After the meeting, I popped by a hair salon near Anam Station Exit 2 for a haircut and fringe perm for 25,000KRW. My head feels so much lighter now that my hair is layered. But my hair was quite poofy for the day because the stylist blow-dried my hair and my hair's only nice when it's air-dried.
By the time Jeannie and I made it to Anam Station, it was already 2pm. The subway ride from Anam Station to Daehwa Station took 1 hour 13 minutes and from exit no. 5, we took bus 200 to Paju English Village. I wanted to pop by Dunkin Donuts to get some food before our 1 hour + bus ride to English Village but the bus arrived less than a minute after we reached the bus stop. I was famished by the time we reached the Village! Entrance fee was 2,000KRW and after entering the Village, we headed straight for the same pizza eatery where we had our lunch at last year and had the same set lunch meal for 7,500KRW. Basically, we did the same things as we did when we went to English Village last year in July. And again, I lament about the quick passing of time. The last time we went to English Village was on 12 July 2009 Sunday and today's 19 November 2010 Friday. Then, the on-off drizzle/rain spoiled our photoshoot and we vowed to go back again this year in autumn or winter to do another photoshoot. This year, we arrived at the Village too late...slightly after 4pm and the place was pitch black by 6pm. That's one thing I hate about late autumn/early winter...that the day gets really short! So basically, after eating, we weren't left with much time to take photos. So...we will be making another trip to English Village again during winter but this time round, we have to make sure that we reach the Village before noon to give ourselves time to explore the area and take more photos, instead of going to the same area that we went to last year.
| Please don't alight at the 1st bus stop for English Village because the main entrance is at the 2nd stop! We had to walk quite a distance :( |
Thankfully, the bus back to Daehwa Station arrived in less than 1 minute after we exited the Village at 6pm. But the journey was quite long and there was this Korean girl who pissed off so many of us on the bus. She made so many phone calls and talked really loudly with an irritating act-cute pitch which drove me nuts. Every time I turned back to glare at her, I saw a middle-aged guy doing so as well...so did a lady seated in front of him. Please, the world doesn't need to know about your appointments and what you're going to do. Who cares? I'm sorry for ranting but such behaviour really irks me!
Back in Anam, I joined my orientation group for drinks (I only drank 1 shot of soju) in one of the eateries that we went to after Ko-yon Games. I was expecting to see many exchange students there but it was just Eric and I with Jaeho, Eui Joon, Junghyun, my buddy Jaehyun, Sooyeon and Young Woong. We're going to meet every Friday from now on but I won't be able to join them next Friday because I'll be going to Seosan with Hyunju unni. I had a good night :)
joined group 5 for drinks. expected more people. got probed and the cat was let out of the bag.
