After a long day of (attempted) studying, I had a wonderful dinner at a Chinese eatery with a group of 17 friends. We occupied almost half the eatery! And before the meal started, we did a round of self-introduction, first in our native language, and then in English. So it was pretty cool hearing all the different languages since my friends are from Egypt, Turkey, Cambodia, Italy, Romania, Russia, USA, Brazil, Costa Rica, China, Korea and the Czech Republic.
It was also quite a change for me, being able to eat proper Chinese food other than jajjangmyeon which isn’t quite Chinese food to me. The meal wasn’t cheap though and we ordered so many bottles of 5,000원 Tsingtao beer -.- Each of us were supposed to pay 30,000원 but somehow, Min only collected 20,000원. He either paid the balance amount himself or we got a discount from the boss. I highly suspect it’s the former and I hope he didn’t hear me complaining about having to pay for part of the beer cost when I only drank a few sips. That’s one thing I don’t like about splitting costs with my friends... especially when I’m the one who eats/drinks the least.
But cost of meal aside, I had a great time with my friends and I can’t wait to go out with them for another meal again!
