Day 17: 15 July 2009 Wednesday

During 1 of the 3 short breaks we have during our 9am-1pm Korean lesson.

I finally tried something at the Korean Language Institute 한국어학당's cafeteria other than kimbab 김밥. Tofu stew 손두부찌개 for 2,500원.

Cookery class from 2-3pm. We made 팓양갱 red bean jelly and 잡채 vermicelli.

Our teacher 선생님 trying our dish. She's really pretty in person, and this picture doesn't do her justice!

It was a great day with no rain at all, just as Garima told me :) So we made use of the good weather and went out.

I think it's really cool that different subway stations have different themes.

At Gyeongbokgung Palace Station 경복궁 전철 역

The palace museum

Outside Gyeongbokgung Palace 경복궁

At Samcheongdong 삼청동 which Ms Chi 지선생님 told us about during one of our pre-departure immersion meetings.  And now I know where Dahong (http://dahong.co.kr) / Zipia (http://zipia.net) does its photoshoots.

Pretty cafes

At Beansbin Coffee where I had a Triple Chocolate Waffle again.  I really love the layout of the cafe here.

Where I bought a dress for 29,000원 (surprisingly! since I thought clothes will be pricey around this area).

At around 7pm, we met Ms Kim 김선생님 and the rest of the girls before proceeding to Jongno Sports & Culture Centre 종로문화체육젠터's Gwanghwamun Art Hall to watch the 7.30pm Korean Traditional Performing Arts PAN show directed by this famous guy called Kim Deok Su 김덕수. It was free for us because we went in a group of 9 persons and we're foreigners studying at Yonsei's KLI. The ticket price was 40,000원.
