It was a tiring day for all of us. With 5 of us sharing a room, by the time we had bathed, it was really late. I slept at 1am and woke up at 2am, wondering whether I should wake everyone else to prepare to leave for Sunrise Peak. But everyone was tired so I thought I might as well just wake them up at 3am but I didn’t really sleep at all. So yup, 1hr+ of sleep only!

Configuring the GPS to get to Sunrise Peak

Jeannie’s super funny, using a mask at 3am+ when most of us were half-dead with sleep deficiencies.

Entrance to Sunrise Peak

Only Yong Kang and I reached the peak. It was a really tiring walk up since we rushed to reach the peak as fast as we could, racing against time to reach there before the sun rose in the chilly summer weather (how ironic). Jeannie, Phyllis and Pauline gave up when they were just 2 flights of stairs away from the peak (they didn’t know it till we came down and told them).
Some filming being done

But it didn’t really matter because we didn’t see the sunrise even though we reached the peak, all thanks to our bad luck: it was a gloomy and cloudy morning.

And we found them

Herb Dongsan
On our way to Herb Dongsan, we had a car stop by the roadside near some park where we all slept for nearly 1 hour in the car. As I said earlier, it was a really tiring day and the day seemed long too because we were up and around at 3am.
Jeannie and Phyllis were still sleeping by the time we got to Herb Dongsan so only Yong Kang, Pauline and I went in. Admission fee was 6,000원.

Jeongbang Waterfall
Admission fee was 1,000원 and we had ice cream before proceeding to the waterfall which was quite beautiful.

Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
Again, admission fee was 1,000원 but I was disappointed with the view. I expected more but it was quite normal looking and I only took this picture of it:

Tapdong 탚동노
Actually, we didn’t know that we went to Tapdong yesterday because we used the GPS to search for Dongmun Market Place 동문재래시장 and after checking out the market place, we walked around and found the shopping area. So after Sunrise Peak, the All In film site, Herb Dongsan, Jeongbang waterfall and Cheonjiyeon waterfall, it was 12pm and we were dead tired and decided to go to Tapdong to find a café to chill out at. But we couldn’t find it in the GPS and picked the closest, only to find ourselves at an eatery called Dadong -_-

Subsequently and thankfully, we managed to find Tapdong on the GPS after that and found ourselves back at the place where we were at yesterday.
Cool car park

Lunch where I had a super spicy egg ramen for 2,500원 which made me tear.

Went to a café where we spent most of our afternoon at. I got a hot citron tea for 2,800원.

Jeannie accompanied me to look for a pharmacy 약국 as I needed some painkillers for my cramp which I forgot to pack. We couldn’t find our way initially and asked for directions. Jeannie forgot that a pharmacy’s called 약국 and she asked where the 우제국 was, which is a post office! And when we finally got to the pharmacy, I was weak and totally wincing with pain. It sucks to get a period on a trip. Anyway, we forgot how to say menstrual pain in Korean and spoke in broken Korean to tell the pharmacist we wanted menstrual painkillers. She took out 2 boxes with some Korean words on it which I didn’t understand but I somehow guessed that she misunderstood and took out contraception pills for me! In the end, we remembered ½ of the words for menstrual pain in Korean and she finally understood us and brought out the correct medication. I should have paid more attention during Korean class! We chatted with the pharmacist for awhile and again, like most other Koreans, she was amazed with our standard of Korean (which isn’t really much even though I’ve been studying the language for nearly a year because I can’t speak as well as I write).
Collecting the car

Back at our hotel area (right in front of Hamdeok Beach) where we wanted to wait to watch the sunset since we didn’t manage to watch the sunrise but it was too early so we left for dinner near our hotel area.

Finally, a Western dinner!

Back to the hotel where I managed to use the webcam and talked to my parents and brother. I miss them so much! And I nearly cried again.
