[Part 1] 24. It’s Friday but I’m stuck in school

Sigh…so much for making plans to go out after class today!
But still, it’s FRIDAY which means no school for the next 2 days :)

I love my Korean class, my classmates and teachers.
Everyone’s so nice and I have so much fun during lessons because we spend most of the time discussing about issues and learning more about the Korean culture.
This week, I learnt more about the current political situation in Korea and the presidential candidates. My homework for yesterday was to read the press conference speech made by 안철수, one of the presidential candidates. I hope he gets elected in November!

Anyway, I wanted to chill out at a cafe along Haeundae today but I had a consultation with my Korean teacher after class. The consultation wasn’t as scary as I had thought and I think it’s really great that the teachers here really pay close attention to our well-being. I made a small (ok, it was big) request  of her and hopefully, she’ll be able to help me! I’ll share what it is in time to come, if I get the required permission. I’m bound by rules here.

On my way back to my room, I stopped by the security office to check whether my Clarisonic had arrived. I’ve been checking the office everyday for my Gmarket parcel and Clarisonic and this week, the fierce-looking security guard has been on duty every single day. I prefer the kinder-looking security guard who was on duty for the last 2 weeks. Anyway, the fierce-looking security guard remembers me already because I went to the office every single day this week and the minute I entered the office just now, he told me that I didn’t have any packages :( But just as I was about to leave, he started asking me about my name and why it’s in English and not in Chinese and whether my grandparents were from China. And then he told me that my eyes are clear/bright and beautiful. It took a compliment and some small talk for me to eliminate my fear of him lol. Now I’m on pretty good relationships with the security guards in my dorm.

Later on in the afternoon, I walked back to the International Education Building for the 3rd time today to meet my buddy at 5pm. She didn’t turn up for our first meeting on Wednesday because she didn’t know about it while I ended up getting acquainted with the mosquitoes which gave me 4 bites in 30 mins. Anyway, she’s really nice! Can’t wait to spend more time with her. She wasn’t free today so we only talked for about 10 minutes before she had to go.

I quite like living in my dormitory now. I can meet my friends anytime I want and we have nice places to go to, to talk and watch the sun set.

I finally got my parcels! Shall blog about my recent Gmarket purchases soon.

I couldn’t decide which colour to get and was considering getting a peony or coral one but after Googling for images taken by others (and not the stock photos), I realised that those colours didn’t look as nice in real life and I’m so glad I decided to get the pink in the end. Such a sweet colour! 

Have to charge it for 24 hours before the 1st usage!
