It was a mad rush this morning and I was both stressed (because I was running really late) and tired (with very LITTLE sleep). The journey from Sinchon subway station all the way to Incheon International Airport was at least an hour long and I slept on the trains in between the 3 line transfers I had to make. In the end, I was 15 minutes late and the "Welcome to Korea" sign I made for Melissa wasn't put to any good use because she was already out of the customs area by the time I reached the airport. Oh well, at least my dearest friends: Garima, Chun En and Melissa arrived safe and sound in Korea to join me on the last leg of my trip :) After days and months of talking about our trip, I couldn't believe it when I finally saw them at the airport, that they're really here with me afterall!
We took bus 6015 from the airport to Hotel Ibis in Myeongdong and each bus ticket cost 9,000원 which is really cheap, compared to taking a taxi which would easily have cost us 65,000원 and above. The journey was about an hour+ long.

2 connecting rooms on a non-smoking floor weren't ready at Hotel Ibis when I checked in, so we deposited our luggages at the hotel lobby and went to Krispy Kreme for breakfast, or rather, brunch for me.

Garima (she helped me wear my fedora since I couldn't fit it into any of my luggages or bags and I didn't want to wear it!)

I love Hotel Ibis because the room rate is quite cheap, the hotel is nice and classy, and best of all, the LOCATION: right smack in Myeongdong shopping street.

I bought 2 donuts and 1 was given to me free (as the Koreans call it, service) which I shared with Garima.

Post-meal: cosmetics shopping time :) First stop was Missha because it was the last day of the sale period.

I also brought the girls to Innisfree, Etude House, Skinfood and Thefaceshop before we went back to the hotel to collect our room cards.

Waiting in Room 1433 (Chun En's and my room) while our connecting room 1434 (Melissa's and Garima's) was being cleaned.

Repacking my luggages

I love my room because it's so cosy and the bed is really comfortable.
After our short rest in the hotel room, we went for some shopping.

Dinner in 이대 at my 2nd favourite porridge eatery

Dessert at Coldstone Creamery and I'm sure Mel, Garima and Chun En now love Coldstone too :)

Hi Huiling, argh...it's been about 8 months since I was there! Haha...both are quite near the entrance of Ewha Women's University. For the porridge eatery, you have to go up a flight of stairs. It's opposite Paris Baguette I think!
