Daily routine

Trying out my new brown heels

Because we woke up so late (at nearly 12pm), we headed to BK for brunch. Each of us had a burger set meal and tables away, we found (to our horror) that the Korean girls around us were sharing burgers in an approximate ratio of 2 girls to 1 burger :( now I know why I'll never be thin :(:(:(

Back to the hotel room for a short rest before we headed to our 1st touristy attraction for the day. My purchases yesterday: silver havaianas 17,500원 (S$20) and a pair of high but comfortable brown heels 34,000원 (S$38.86). I can't remember if I've mentioned this before in my previous entries but anyway, my Korean language teacher 홍선생님 told us that to the Koreans, a heel height of 5-7cm is considered normal; only a heel height of at least 10cm makes a pair of heels, high heels.

Our room is so lovely and nice that if we had the time, I'd like to laze in our room for a day!

Gyeongbokgung Palace 경복궁

Getting the tickets; each admission ticket costs 3,000원.

Goodbye palace, but I'll be back again next year! I think the palace looks so much prettier in summer. My previous visits to the palace proper were made in winter 2005 and winter 1995. Yes, this is my 3rd trip here to Korea, but it's my 1st time visiting this country in summer because my 1st two trips were made in winter.
We spent about 4 hours at the palace taking photos before the dark clouds and a few drops of rain shooed us off and I decided to bring the girls to COEX Mall because it's sheltered and I've never been there before.
