There were no classes today because it’s our 2nd cultural experience 문화체험 for this semester- sports meet!
This time round, the meet was held at the basketball court in front of the sports stadium from 10am till 3.30pm.
I took part in the relay, like last semester, and my girls team won! I was chosen to be the first runner but I really wanted to be the last because I have a bad habit of slowing down when passing over the baton and I wasn’t confident of myself at all. I jog/run/exercise more than most of the other girls in my program but I’m a gym rat. I only run on the treadmill, not outdoors, and I run at a constant (slow) speed. Thankfully, I ran fast enough to give the rest of my teammates (all Chinese students) a lead of half a lap. The boys team lost though and we almost won the teachers’ race until one of our teachers forgot to pass the baton to the next runner and another teacher fell -.- So overall, 백팀 white team won and their winning prizes- umbrellas. I’m glad that we received water bottles instead because I don’t need another umbrella. I already have 2!

At 4.30pm, I met up with my class again and 3 of us took 안 선생님’s car to Ashley in Jeonpo where we went to a few Fridays ago. The rest of my class girls took the subway while 2 of my teachers came to join us later on. Pan came down from Daegu to join us for Kawita’s farewell dinner too.
I’m not sure if we took a class picture during the dinner though because I left halfway to use the washroom and when I got back, Pan and 2 of my teachers were leaving so I hurriedly gathered my stuff and left too. Pan was going to Nopodong to take a bus to Daegu while I was going to take a bus to Ulsan from there too and my teacher could give us a lift to the subway station. Wish I had taken a photo with Kawita before leaving! I won’t be able to send her off at the airport on Sunday morning because I’ll be in Ulsan :( Anyway, in my haste to leave, I grabbed the wrong leather jacket and only realised my mistake when I was in my teacher’s car. I had Baby’s jacket with me :(
Anyway, the bus ride to Ulsan was really fast! I reached 학성공원 in record time…about an hour! Normally, the bus journey takes at least 1.5 hours but traffic was light at that hour so I made it to Ulsan early. EH picked me up from the bus stop and we finally went to 땅땅치킨 for supper but the place was way too crowded with (drunk) young adults who talked so loudly.
