그리운 남자 친구

It has been exactly 2 weeks since the day YW arrived in Singapore.
It has been exactly a week since he returned to Korea.
It is exactly a week to his departure for the States.

On the day I left Korea, I stood at the bus stop watching his bus pull away from the bay.
My flight was delayed by 5 hours but he couldn’t stay with me because he had to take the bus back to Gwangju for his mum’s birthday dinner that night.
On the day he left Singapore, he stood at the bus stop watching my bus pull away from the bay.
I had to leave for my mum’s birthday dinner that night. Actually, my mum’s birthday was 2 days later but the dinner voucher that my dad had couldn’t be used on Fridays and Saturdays so we had to have the dinner on Thursday. And my dad forgot to tell me about the dinner and I was only informed by my mum 2 hours before the start of the dinner. Can you imagine how upset I felt??? I thought I could take the airport bus to the airport with him and send him off.
In the end, he sent me off at the bus stop.
Yet another farewell at the bus stop and having to leave for a birthday dinner again…
But then again, we both agreed that it was for the better. I can’t imagine how it’d be like if we had to let go of each other at the departure gate. And of all times, my phone batt died on me 20 minutes before his plane was to depart and by the time I got home and had it charged, he had already boarded the plane and was unable to call me :(

Enough of the sad stuff.
Here are some photos of his stay here. The weather was too hot which explains the minimal number of photos taken when he was here. It was also too hot for me to put on makeup as well because I normally end up wiping whatever’s on my face off after awhile. In Korea, I had makeup on almost every day but here, he saw my real look :( But anyway, THANK YOU DEAR LORD for blessing us with a nice blue sky almost everyday :)

TWG before I had to rush off for my mum’s dinner :( 

We spent a grand total of 14 days together for 2011, not quite 15 days since he only arrived in Singapore at 11.30pm on 18th August.

A LDR is a really tough nut to crack.
You’ve to keep trying and not lose faith.
Your emotions, trust me, will be one hell of a roller-coaster ride.
Happy, sad, happy, disillusioned, happy, sad, and so on and so forth.
But for now, I ain’t giving up on us.

I’m going to HK, inclusive of 2D1N at Disneyland, during my Sept holiday!
The last time I went on an overseas trip with my family by plane was in 1995.
Actually, recess week is supposed to be the time for me to catch up on my revision and work on my projects but we’re going for a holiday because my brother went ahead and took overseas leave and then, refused to let it go to waste.

And at the end of the year, I’ll be going to Taiwan with my 2nd aunt, 5 cousins, 5 cousins-in-law, and their 11 children i.e. I’m going with my 2nd aunt’s clan!

Next June, I’ll be going to Europe for grad trip with my girlfriends :)

And maybe next July, I might be going to Korea BUT I hope not. I mean I want to go to Korea once YW is back there and before I start work (assuming I get a job) BUT I don’t want to go during the monsoon season. So we’ll see!

I might go to New York next Dec to visit a best friend if I can save up enough too!

I eventually went back to the hair salon for a re-perm and this is my best hair day to date :)

OMG. 16 days to my TOPIK exam!!!! I can kiss Level 4 goodbye :(
