my god i shouldn't have end up in your blog!
just wanna read all d post, i just wanted to find korean hair salon!
ayaa, because its my exam period and i just finished one chapter then i got the pulsion of googling hairdresser in korea cause im going there in july, and im sure your blog got plenty of stuff that i should do there!
well my sole purpose was to know how much did you pay for your digital perm?
my gosh, im gonna study some more chapter and tonight look at all your post!!
Hello! Haha...I'm so sorry that my blog became a source of distraction for you! All the best for your exams! I have one last paper tomorrow and it's freedom for me with my exchange to look forward to :)
I paid 40,000KRW for my hair perm. Actually, I just showed the hairdresser a picture of the kind of curls I wanted. I didn't know how to say digital perm in Korean and she didn't understand what I was trying to tell her either so I just said pa-ma-he-ju-se-yo 파마해 주세요 which means "please give me permed hair" :)
It's quite lasting actually, just that I had my hair trimmed early this year which meant my curls were cut off too :( going back to perm in Aug again! And there's no lack of hair products for your curls in Korea too!
haha couldnt resist! i think i went through most of the post!
but i tried to follow, i saw the post when you said you had the perm, then the next post your hair are straight, then permed, then straight?
lol, but it looks good!!
and definitly im gonna try the mushroom congee oh yeah!
do you have any tips on where to shop?
OMG everythings all cute over there, i feel like go study there as well!!!
oh, I had a backlog of entries to do after my Jeju/Busan trip because I didn't have internet connection everyday :p So the post in which I said I had the perm was posted before I posted the rest of my entries for the week before. It's pretty cool, they let you use the internet while getting your perm done. haha!
my favourite shopping areas: hongdae, myeongdong, ewha, dongdaemun but I'm sure there are other areas I haven't discovered yet so hopefully, I can find them during my exchange :)
이대 how do you say that area in letter?
haha i try to find your hairdresser! its so cheap!!
do you know if everywher else is about the same price or that was just an exception?
If i stay where coex mall is, is it a good area to go out at night?
or is it better to stay at hongdae??
oooh thanks heaapps!
이대 e-dae refers to Ewha Women's University, just a shorter form.
I've no idea about the pricing but I think you can roughly gauge the price range from the furnishing of the salon! For those that look posh, you'll know that prices are higher! Coex mall is on the green line, subway station: Samseong Station here: http://www.nsubway.co.kr/korea/seoul/seoulsubwaymapen.htm so you can roughly gauge how far it is from the places you want to visit. Hongdae is more central I would say! And of course, Myeongdong's the best for me :)
Hi ! Chanced upon your blog and am planning to go korea for holiday too!
Was wondering if you could recommend some places of interest or shopping sites or places with good food !! THanks !!! :D like, which places are a MUST GO (:
Hello Deb :) Which part of Korea are you going to? Just Seoul?
Shopping: Myeongdong, shopping street near Ewha Women's University (also known as Ladies Street/Subway station: E-dae Station), Hongdae, Dongdaemun, Samcheongdong (near Gyeongbokgung Palace) and I believe Sinsa-dong and Apgujeong and Gangnam have nice shopping areas too just that I never got to check out those areas well. Will check them out when I'm in Korea in the last quarter of this year :)
Food-wise: almost everywhere! But I'm not one who lives to eat; rather, I eat to live so I'm not particular about food. But I do love bibimbap (nice restaurant in Sinsa-dong but I forgot the name because my korean friends brought me there!), and mushroom porridge at places such as Bonjuk (porridge chain) and another in Myeongdong which is beside Innisfree.
Other places of interest: Namsan Tower (or N Seoul Tower) for the view and the locks (where Boys over flower was filmed at too), the palaces (quite a no.! Gyeongbokgung, Deoksogung, etc.), English Village (quite far, you have to take a subway to the last station on the orange line I think and then take a bus), Lotte World, Everland. You can check out Coex Mall near Lotte World too!
hi clara,
was kinda curious, how much did you pay for your upcoming semester at Korea University?
Thanks.
Hello dear, erm...I haven't started my exchange yet so I won't know how much my total exchange program will cost! If you're asking about school fees, I don't pay fees to Korea University, I pay my tuition fee to NUS as per normal.
